We are currently searching for an experienced and dynamic Operations Director to oversee our Wholesale department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wholesale sales management, operations, and team leadership. They will be responsible for managing the execution of selling strategy, optimizing processes, building sales teams, representing the voice of the customer in inventory buying decisions, and driving overall operational excellence within the Wholesale division. The Director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and maintain high standards of customer service. The Director plays a critical role in ensuring the success and profitability of our Wholesale division. This role is based in our New Orleans Headquarters 5 days a week.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Wholesale Operations Strategy & Process

  • Design and implement scalable operational workflows to support wholesale growth targets
  • Optimize order processing, fulfillment accuracy, and return management
  • Drive continuous improvement across tools, systems, and reporting frameworks
  • Own the wholesale marketing calendar, aligning campaign strategy with sales objectives
  • Partner with brand and creative teams to develop seasonal assets, line sheets, and promotional toolkits
  • Ensure timely and effective communication of product stories, launches, and merchandising strategies to wholesale partners
  • Oversee trade show logistics and seasonal event execution, in partnership with sales and brand teams

Systems & Reporting

  • Lead evaluation and ongoing optimization of ERP, B2B ordering, and CRM tools
  • Establish reporting cadence for performance, sell-through, account order flow, and financial reporting
  • Create visibility into sales opportunities and support development of operational KPIs
  • Support accurate sales forecasting and demand planning in collaboration with planning and production teams

Team & Account Support

  • Directly oversee the wholesale operations and customer service team, ensuring efficient operations and high service standards
  • Support onboarding and enablement of reps and key account partners
  • Partner with Sales Director to operationalize sales team tools, customer service SOPs, and trade show strategy
  • Ensure wholesale partners receive best-inclass service through coordinated support processes 
  • Develop and maintain documentation and SOPs for wholesale processes, order cycles, and escalation protocols

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Act as the key operational liaison between wholesale, planning, logistics, finance, marketing, and customer experience
  • Collaborate with planning and production to align inventory strategy with wholesale demand
  • Coordinate product merchandising and availability (e.g., color kit delivery, order window timelines)
  • Ensure alignment between marketing and sales on go-to-market strategy and wholesale communication

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in wholesale operations, planning, or revenue/sales operations, preferably within fashion, retail, or consumer goods
  • Proven ability to design and scale operational processes, drive results, and achieve business objectives
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards common goals
  • Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities with a high attention to detail
  • Proficient in ERP and inventory management systems (NetSuite experience preferred)
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop creative solutions and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Knowledge of wholesale industry trends, best practices, and regulatory considerations
